While we often think of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as a central doctrine to believe, it also speaks of the power God gives us for victory in every situation. In a message filled with Scripture and personal experience, Missions Pastor Bruce Coble talks about how the Resurrection of Christ is central to a Christian life and how good works often aren't a good indicator of Jesus's lordship. Then, towards the end he shares how this resurrection power has shown in the lives of those who have ministered at Wherry Housing over the years.

We believe that Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead on the third day and that all who put their faith in Him and believe the message of His Gospel receive Eternal Life. All such believers form the Body of Christ which is also known as the Church.

Scripture References

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
