Real Leaders
Meets in: Multi-purpose room
Who was the greater leader – George Washington or Solomon?
A seven-week class exploring myths and learning truths about what goes into making a real leader. In this case, ignorance is not bliss…
The Generous Life
Meets in: Classroom 12
Building a life of generosity only happens when we seek out the plans and purposes of God. He has entrusted to us, His Beloved, the privilege of managing the earth and all of the financial affairs that come with it. We have the Holy Spirit within us to assist us in this endeavor. Heed the call. Take your rightful place. You were created to rule and reign from your knees. Your are God’s Ambassador on this Earth, serve him with all of your resources. Serve him with all that is within you! Learn to live a generous life.
The Prayer of Rodbez
Meets in: Fellowship Hall
We will be mooing and chewing about an obscure prayer…prayed by an unknown man…heard by the Creator of the universe who “granted him what he requested” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). We will be ruminating on the five aspects of this prayer…uttered by a man whose name means “pain” (Jabez)…and see how we can deal with our own pain…and approach God to be “blessed beyond the curse”…based on His promises that are sure. A good time will be guaranteed for all.
When Godly People do Ungodly Things
Meets in: Classroom 10
Believers are still subject to satan’s attacks. He is determined to disrupt the lives of Christians, destroy their ministry, and steal their joy. Sadly, those who have “fallen” may not recognize the devil’s schemes until they have already been caught in a snare of defeat.
This six-week study is written in three parts. The first part is a warning to believers, while the second shows us how to prepare for attacks by the enemy. The third part is directod to those who have been snared by seduction, and compassionately points the way back to God.
Quiet Strength
Meets in: Classroom 11
Tony Dungy’s words and example have intrigued millions of people, particularly following his victory in Super Bowl LIX, the first for an African-American coach.
How is it possible for a coach – especially a football coach – to win the respect of his players and lead them to the Super Bowl without the screaming histrionics, the profanities, and the demand that the sport come before anything else? How is it possible for anyone to be successful without compromising faith and family?
In this inspiring and reflective memoir, now updated with a new chapter, Coach Dungy tells the story of a life lived for God and family – and challenges us all to redefine our ideas of what it means to succeed.
