Proverbs 14:26 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run into it and are safe.” For the average teen, the middle and high school years are some of the toughest years of their lives. The struggle to find identity, issues of peer pressure, and potential toxic relationships coupled with the physical and mental changes during these years often leave teenagers searching for a sense of meaning. At Springhouse Worship and Arts Center, it is our desire to provide a safe place or “Refuge” for our youth. Here, our teens are given the opportunity to grow and mature in the Lord alongside a community of believers who are intentional in encouraging each other in their gifts, worshipping together, and finding true meaning from the One who gives life.
Refuge Youth Group is for teens 6th-12th grade. Our group meets on the first three Saturdays of the month at Kevin and Shari O'dea's house from 6:30-8:30 PM. We also have exciting events planned each month.
Upcoming Events for the Fall Semester 2017:
– Video Scavenger Hunt (September)
– Corn Maze and Trunk or Treat (October)
– Friendler's Feast (November)
– “A Merry Christmas BLAST” (December)
We will be going through the book called Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman during small groups on Saturday evenings.
Check out our Sunday School classes that meet at 9 AM upstairs at Springhouse Worship and Arts Center.
From our Youth Pastor:
“Shari and I could not be more blessed to lead this incredible group of teens. It's an honor and a joy to point this group of “world-changers” to Jesus! We hope you will come and see what we've got going on in Refuge Youth Group. If you're looking for a group of people who are pretty perfect at not being perfect… you've come to the right place. Come hang with us!”
