Children’s Ministries

Part of the vision at Springhouse is Uniting Generations. When you invest in the life of a child you invest in the future. The Children’s Department at Springhouse is a great place for your children to grow! All of our program’s workers are passionate about Jesus and about your children and pass background checks.

Our focus on Children’s Ministry at Springhouse is based on Deuteronomy 11:18, 19:

“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (NIV).

We believe we are called to do what we do and share Jesus at the same time. We want to let kids see that Jesus is the most important part of our lives. Then they will want Him to be the most important part of their lives. Jesus unites our generations!

Here is a brief overview of some of the ministries we have for your child:

Birth to age 3 – Lisa Norris heads up our Nursery Co-op. It is her desire that every child that enters here will be loved on and prayed over by her wonderful staff.

Preschool (ages 3 to 5) – Preschool children like a routine that they understand so on Sunday mornings we offer back to back classes for them. And although a different teacher will teach each class the Bible lesson is the same. The activities are different as well to help reinforce the message.

Students (grades 1 – 5) – Springhouse recognizes that there are vast differences in learning styles for each student age group. To cater to those different learning styles, we offer a variety of ministries.

  • At 9 am on Sundays, we offer small group classes. These classes are great for students that enjoy personal interactions with their peers and the leaders. They are relationship building classes and a wonderful place for boys and girls to meet others of their age.
  • During our 11 am service at Springhouse, Kevin O’Dea, the Young Adult Pastor, runs a fun, exciting worship service geared for our kids: Cool Church. It provides all the components of the adult worship service – praise and worship, offering, communion, prayer and Bible teaching – as well as games, object lessons, prizes and snacks. It’s really cool!

Wednesday evenings we have our Missionettes and Royal Ranger programs:

  • Missionettes is a wonderful Bible based program with women teaching girls how to be Godly women. We learn skills, earn badges, memorize scripture, build relationships and and have fun together. For more information email Missionettes@SpringhouseSmryna.com.
  • The motto of Royal Rangers is “Reach, Teach and Keep boys for Christ.” It’s a wonderful program that helps boys learn skills and earn merits but more importantly shapes them into Goldy men. For more information email RoyalRangers@SpringhouseSmryna.com.
