Claudia Peterson: Living epistles

Between now and the next informational meeting about Springhouse’s 2012 trips to Africa (4-5 p.m. Jan. 22), watch this space for memories from last year’s Zimbabwe team. Are you hearing the call?

From Claudia Peterson:

Our team stood in the “old sanctuary” of Warren Park–a rusty, corrugated steel roof held up by various kinds and sizes of wood, cement blocks for partial walls and a floor of broken cement mixed with dust–a holy place where we celebrated Jesus with our Zimbabwean brothers and sisters.

Pastor Cleopas opened his heart to us in tears, revealing a legacy of selfless serving and seed-sowing, of true and faithful discipleship, lovers of Jesus of which our own pastors at Springhouse were instrumental in “fathering.”

They are living epistles, giving all to glorify the Lord and “pass the baton.” May we who have seen it with our eyes be inspired to be likewise poured-out vessels, instruments of the abundant great grace of our God. He is truly worthy!
